This policy sets out how Blue Aegis Inc. (“we”) handles personal information and access information on this website (https://blueaegis.co.jp/, including the Japanese pages). We comply with Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information and the related regulations and guidelines.

What this site does not collect

This site consists only of static pages. It has no mechanism for sending what you type to a server of ours. The choices and text you enter in the contact section are assembled into an email draft inside your own device. Nothing reaches us until you yourself send that email. What you enter is not stored on the page, and it is not transmitted anywhere else.

We set no cookies of our own on this site. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no payment functions.

What we receive when you write to us

If you contact us by email, we receive:

your name, company, department and any other details you write in the message
your email address and any other contact details you provide
the content of your enquiry and the record of the correspondence that follows

We use what you send us only for these purposes:

answering your enquiry and any communication it requires
considering, negotiating and performing agreements on licensing, assignment, joint research and development, and related matters
creating and retaining records incidental to the above

If a need arises to use it beyond those purposes, we will obtain your consent first.

Disclosure to third parties

We do not disclose personal information to third parties except where:

you have consented
disclosure is required by law
disclosure is necessary to protect a person’s life, body or property and obtaining consent is difficult

External services this site uses

We use the following external services to deliver this site and to understand how it is read. Both are operated by companies located in the United States, and information obtained through their operation is handled on the terms each of them sets.

GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.) — the delivery platform for this site. In serving pages, the connecting IP address and similar data are recorded on GitHub’s servers. We do not obtain those records individually.
Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare, Inc.) — used to measure readership. It uses no cookies and builds no identifier that tracks a visitor across sites. What we can see is an aggregate of items such as the page viewed, the referrer, the browser and device type, the country, and how long the page took to display. No individual can be identified from it.

Security measures

We take the measures necessary to prevent the leakage, loss or damage of the personal information entrusted to us, and to otherwise manage it safely. We retain it only as long as the purpose of use requires, and erase it once that need has passed.

Requesting disclosure and other actions

If you wish us to disclose, correct, add to, delete, suspend the use of, erase, or stop the third-party provision of personal information we hold about you, please write to the address below. We will verify your identity and respond as the law provides.
